Bob Pokress, co-founder and CEO

Bob is a graduate of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy (BSEE), holds an MS in Operations Research and Economics from the University of California at Berkeley and attended the MIT Program in Advanced Financial Management. While on active duty as a Coast Guard officer, Bob served as Commanding Officer of the LORAN C electronic navigational network supporting the strategic forces of the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force operating throughout the Pacific (selected as Unit of The Year based on the station’s outstanding operational record). Bob was a research fellow at the RAND Corporation, began his industry career at Bell Laboratories, was Director of GTE’s Network Technology R&D Center, served as Senior Vice President of Marketing at Boston Technology helping grow BT’s business from $40 million to over $100 million annually, and co-founded PhoneGenie Technologies. Bob has been awarded four U.S and eight international Patents for his innovations in the field of real-time computer networking.

Matt Pokress, co-founder and Chief Operating Officer

Matt is a graduate of Cornell University with a major in physics and concentration in computer science. Matt co-founded PhoneGenie Technologies and served as the company’s Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Engineering. As Vice President of Engineering, Matt led the development of three generations of industry-award-winning managed hosting technologies, directed a major joint systems development and engineering program in partnership with Zoom Telephonics, and managed the hosting of server and database operations for the financial services firm Capital One, a licensee of PhoneGenie technology. Matt has been awarded two U.S. Patents for his pioneering work in distributed systems.

Admiral Timothy Josiah

Admiral Josiah is the former Chief of Staff of the U.S. Coast Guard and is now Vice President and General Manager of Raytheon’s Homeland Security Division. Admiral Josiah is a graduate of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and has spent his career in a variety of senior military command assignments leading up to his appointment as Chief of Staff of the U.S. Coast Guard in 1998. He has been one of the senior Federal government leaders of the President’s Homeland Security program. Admiral Josiah has a JD degree from the University of Maryland School of Law and is a graduate of the National War College.
