(Woburn, MA) - Apr. 30, 2003 –Image Fortress Corporation has joined the Kofax Technology Application Partner program to enable enterprises to directly and automatically archive existing paper records into the DigitalFortress(tm), electronic archiving service offered by Image Fortress.
The partnership joins the flexible information capture capabilities of Ascent Capture with the robust record archiving features of DigitalFortress to enable enterprises to electronically archive all of their vital records. Whether information is born digital or converted from paper, records are securely stored, and can easily be searched and retrieved through a standard Web interface. The combination provides a solution that minimizes up-front costs, improves customer productivity, and has low ongoing support expense.
The Ascent Capture platform for enterprise document capture economically and reliably captures large volumes of critical business information from paper as well as electronic sources such as XML, print streams, e-mail, application files, photos and Web forms. The application manages the process, indexes and validates the captured content, and then releases it seamlessly to DigitalFortress through a custom integration module. DigitalFortress automatically creates metadata information and stores the scanned image in the archive.
