One of the challenges in long-term digital archiving is ensuring that when records need to be referenced in the future, they will still be viewable. Changes in underlying technology, whether media or file format, can make a file unrenderable. As part of the DigitalFortress™ service, we can transform your records into industry standard formats such as HTML, TIFF, or PDF to ensure that they are readable by the widest range of your clients. We can also migrate records across releases of certain proprietary file formats. These transformations can be done at the time that records are placed in the archive, when they are retrieved for use, or we can schedule a bulk conversion if needed.
As part of our Print Management solution, we can transform legacy print data streams into a wide variety of file formats. These transformations are done as content is brought into the archive, and can be coupled with automatic extraction of index information. Such a solution provides a flexible and cost-effective method for the storage and distribution of customer invoices, statements and internal reports.
